Barry Chase, DDS
Barry Chase, DDS, is Board Certified by the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine and founder of Chase Dental SleepCare. He currently treats patients at offices in New York: Commack and Plainview, as well as the Upper East Side and Chelsea neighborhoods of Manhattan.
With over 40 years of experience, Dr. Chase is well-recognized in the field of dental sleep care. Throughout his career, Dr. Chase has continued to pursue the latest innovations in dental sleep medicine to deliver the highest quality of care to his patients. Dr. Chase has dedicated his practice to the treatment of sleep-disordered breathing (SDB) and temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMD).
Dr. Chase attended Georgetown University Dental School in Washington DC, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery. He then went on to complete a residency in head and neck cancer studies at Howard University Dental School, also in Washington DC. He continued furthering his education in head and neck cancer and oral appliance therapy for post-surgical cancer patients at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.
Outside the office, Dr. Chase maintains an interest in the field of dental sleep medicine. He is a member of a number of professional organizations, including the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, the American Dental Association, and the New York State Sleep Society.

Stuart Abrahams, DDS
Dr. Stuart Abrahams brings 30 years of excellent, compassionate and individualized patient-centric care. Dr. Abrahams received his DDS degree from NYU College of Dentistry. He completed his residency at the Bronx VA Medical Center and Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. Subsequently, Dr. Abrahams completed training in oral implantology at UMDNJ and received a graduate certificate in healthcare informatics from the University of Chicago.
He has been treating TMJ / Orofacial pain disorders for many years while receiving extensive training in the field. This includes a certification with the American Academy of Facial Aesthetics for botulinum toxin (Botox & Xeomin) injections for TMD. Dr. Abrahams has always believed in understanding the correlation between oral and general health and has lectured widely on these topics in both professional and public venues. His passion for this concept leads him into a greater understanding of the role airway health and sleep impact a person’s total wellbeing. Dr. Abrahams participates in several professional organizations including the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.
His motto is ” I don’t treat disease; I treat patients.” Dr. Abrahams proudly treats patients in the Upper East Side of Manhattan; Midwood, Brooklyn; East Meadow, Long Island; White Plains, Westchester and Staten Island.
Deepa Madhavan, DDS
Deepa Madhavan Ipektchi, DDS, is a general dentist and dental sleep medicine specialist bringing over 20 years of experience to Chase Dental Sleepcare. She serves patients at the following offices: Oakland Gardens (Queens) and Commack (Long Island).
Dr. Madhavan began her career pursuits at Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, New York, earning her Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Dr. Madhavan is active in several professional organizations. She proudly holds membership in the New York State Dental Association, the American Dental Association, and the Nassau County Dental Society. Dr. Madhavan is also a diplomate of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.
As a dentist, she diagnoses and treats most oral conditions, including cavities and gum disease. Dr Madhavan also has a special interest in orthodontics, being Invisalign®-certified and regularly helps teenagers and adults achieve beautiful and symmetrical smiles with removable orthodontic aligners. Currently, her main focus and passion is in treating those with sleep breathing disorders, such as obstructive sleep apnea.
Outside of work, Dr. Madhavan loves staying active. She’s a blackbelt in Shaolin Kempo Karate and enjoys boxing and Zumba classes. When she isn’t exercising or working, Dr. Madhavan enjoys spending time with her three children and volunteering for the National Parent-Teacher Association (PTA®).

Sarah Hubert, DDS
Sarah Hubert, DDS, is dedicated to improving the quality of sleep and overall of her patients in and around Brooklyn, New York, and the Upper East Side of New York City. As part of the team at Chase Dental Sleepcare, she strives to provide the highest standard of care.
Dr. Hubert earned her doctorate from the University of California, San Francisco. Born and raised in California, she started her career in the Bay Area while enjoying the abundant outdoor activities that California is known for.
After moving to New York in 2007, Dr. Hubert began developing her dental practice in restorative and airway-focused orthodontics. Studying with Spear, Dawson, and many others, she has spent her career learning about the connections between sleep, TMD, occlusion, and overall health. There are many aspects of dentistry that excite Dr. Hubert:
“I love thinking of dentistry as a melding of art, architecture, design, healing, and problem-solving. I get to work alongside great individuals while using my creative side. It’s the perfect profession, and I think it’s awesome that I get to do this every day.”
When Dr. Hubert is away from the office, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling around this amazing planet.
Michael Steinberg, DDS
Michael Steinberg, DDS, is a dentist practicing at Chase Dental SleepCare’s location in the Midwood neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York.
A graduate of New York University College of Dentistry, Dr. Steinberg completed a residency in General Dentistry at the Metropolitan Hospital Center in New York City. Dr. Steinberg has received extensive training in painful disorders of the head & neck, as well as in sleep disorders and dental sleep medicine.
Dr. Steinberg has authored articles on dental treatment of migraine headaches, snoring and sleep apnea, and the connection between oral health and overall wellness. These articles have appeared in publications such as The Journal Of the New York State Academy of General Dentistry, Bottom Line Natural Healing, and Clinician’s Advisor. He has also lectured on these topics and continues to do so.
Dr Steinberg’s passion is to provide for the overall health of his patients and his community using therapeutic modalities that remain underdeveloped in the settings of traditional healthcare. By treating sleep disorders in patients young and not as young, he seeks to remedy the underlying causes of many systemic health disorders.
His most cherished claim to fame is that of being the husband of Miriam Steinberg for 37 years and being a father and grandfather.
To stay up to date with the latest advances in dentistry, Dr. Steinberg is a member of the American Academy of Physiological Medicine & Dentistry, the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Dental Association.
